Wisconsin Power Plant Explosion Injures Four
An explosion at a Wisconsin power plant in the late morning hours resulted in injuries to four people, according to authorities.
A spokesperson for We Energies, the company that operates the Oak Creek, WI plant, confirmed that the explosion occurred in a dust collector at the plant’s coal handling facility. The plant is located along Lake Michigan, south of Milwaukee.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 11 AM. One victim was airlifted away in a medical helicopter.
Other plant operations are continuing as normal.
